Experience
I am a student journalist with three years of experience in broadcast journalism, sports media, digital publishing, and social media. I began in Intro to Journalism before joining Liberty News Network (LNN), where I gained experience in every newsroom role and produced news packages before being selected as Executive Producer for my junior and senior years.
I also joined Patriot Sports Hub (PSH) in my junior year, where I wrote sports stories, created graphics, anchored sports broadcasts, captured sports photography, and served as Social Media Director. As a senior, I am a staff writer, Website Designer, and Social Media Director for Patriot Press and The Cannon. Additionally, I spent two years as a teaching assistant for Intro to Journalism, strengthening my leadership skills while mastering the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Associated Press (AP) Style
.
My Awards
- 2025 James MacCann Journalism Award – Recognized as the Most Influential Young Journalist by the Ohio Capital Conference Academic League.
- Ohio Scholastic Media Association (OSMA) – Honorable Mention for On-Air Talent.
- National Honor Society – Inducted member in recognition of academic achievement, leadership, service, and character.
- Patriot of the Month Nominee – Nominated twice by Olentangy Liberty High School for outstanding leadership and contributions to the school community.
Beyond Journalism
- Student Ambassador: Selected to represent my school by participating in outreach days at local middle schools, where I help incoming freshmen prepare for the transition to high school by answering questions and sharing my experiences.
- Video Committee: Work with a team of students to plan, film, and produce videos for our principal and school community, helping communicate important events and school initiatives.
- Senior Parking Committee: Help organize and coordinate the senior parking spot painting process, assisting with planning, scheduling, and event logistics.
- Awareness and Action Alliance: Co-founded a student organization focused on raising awareness about important issues through education, advocacy, and school-wide initiatives.
- Competitive Dance: Have trained as a competitive dancer for 13 years, developing discipline, creativity, and a strong work ethic while performing and competing in a variety of dance styles.
- Dance Instructor: Teach dance classes to younger students, helping them build confidence and technique while developing my own leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
